Auburn Public Schools Registration Procedures
Important NoticeAuburn must be the legal residence of both the parent/guardian and student in order to attend school in the Auburn Public School District. New student registrations will not be accepted prior to approval of residency by the Superintendent of Schools.
To begin the registration process, please review the School Admissions Policy and complete the Residency Affidavit if it applies. Please complete the online registration form and then bring your required proof of residency and completed Affidavit, if needed, to Auburn Public Schools Central Office at 5 West Street, Auburn, MA. During the summer months, the office will be accepting registration documentation on Monday-Thursday from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. During the school year, the office open from 8:30-4:00. Your child's registration will not be considered completed until the online registration form has been submitted and all necessary residency documentation is on file.

2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration Information
In order to register for Kindergarten (2026-2027 school year) children must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2026.
Kindergarten registration requires that parents complete the online registration. The registration portal for 2026-2027 will begin on February 2, 2026. If your child currently is enrolled in the Auburn Integrated Preschool program, you will complete the returning student application that will go out by mid-April (or later this spring). Bryn Mawr and Pakachoag have the names of Auburn Integrated Preschool students already. New student registrations are for students and families newly enrolled in the Auburn Public Schools.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE APPROPRIATE SPOT ON THE REGISTRATION FORM. THIS WILL ENSURE WE ARE ABLE TO EASILY CONTACT YOU WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.Residency documentation should be sent via email to the school your child will attend. If you choose to drop off hard copies, each school has a secure mailbox on the outside of the building where those documents can be left. Information may be dropped off at the Superintendent's office in their secured mailbox July 1st through the start of the 26-27 school year. All parents must submit the following documents:
- 2 proofs of Auburn residency per APS policy.
- Child's Birth Certificate
- Child's Immunization Records
- Updated Physical Exam Report

2026-2027 Preschool Registration Information
As of February 20, 2026 all incoming registrations for Pre-K 4 will be placed on a waiting list.
On February 2, 2026, we will begin accepting applications for 2026-2027 Auburn Integrated Preschool. Applications received prior to June 1 will be entered into our enrollment process to determine acceptance into the Preschool program. Please note that applications are not guaranteed placement. Families will be notified of their status on or before July 15, 2026. Applications not initially accepted will be placed on our waiting list.
In order to apply for Preschool, children must be:
- 3 years of age on or before September 1, 2026 for our 3-year old program, or
- 4 years of age by September 1, 2026 for our 4-year old program.
Application Process:
- Complete the online registration. Select Preschool at Auburn High School from the dropdown menu.
- Upload to the portal, or provide, by appointment, to 5 West Street the following:
- 2 proofs of Auburn residency per APS policy.
- Child's Birth Certificate
- Child's Immunization Records
- Updated Physical Exam Report
- Copy of one parent’s government issued ID
- Schedule an appointment for Preschool Screening on Friday, May 15, 2026.
If Accepted:
- If notified that your child’s application has been accepted, submit a non-refundable deposit of one month’s tuition by July 31, 2026 to hold your child’s spot.
